Muslims ruled the Land of Israel for many centuries. From the early Muslim occupation in the year 638 CE, through the late Muslim period and up to the Ottoman period, many sites were built (or converted to be) Muslim sites.
Some of these sites are sacred for Muslims. Other sites carry educational, cultural or residential characteristics. All have distinct Muslim architecture. The Muslim architecture of some of these is influenced by classical architecture styles, creating some of the most eye-attracting sceneries.
